Herpetofauna - One Life's List

Florida Cricket Frog
Acris gryllus dorsalis

Okefenokee Swamp, Ware Co., Georgia.  April 21, 2003

There's not much difference between this little frog and the Southern Cricket Frog (gryllus gryllus) - this one has two dark stripes on the rear of the thigh, as opposed to the Southern Cricket's one stripe.  One simply has to catch one to see the difference - not hard on a wet road on a rainy night.

Further documented in my Frogwalkin' journal entry.
