Herpetofauna - One Life's List Pine
Woods Treefrog Okefenokee Swamp, Ware Co., Georgia. April 21, 2003 |

There's nothing like a wet road on
a rainy spring night for finding amphibians. I heard femoralis call on
many trips south, but this was my first time seeing some. You have to catch
one for a positive identification - they are known by the orange/yellow
spots on the rear of the thigh on the back legs. This frog was one of several Pine Woods Treefrogs found on the road that night, and documented in my Frogwalkin' journal entry.
