Southern Cricket Frog
Acris gryllus gryllus

Rockingham, North Carolina. May 23, 1998.

A pretty little frog, found near a fish pond.  Cricket frogs are usually easy to identify by the inverted triangle of darker pigment between the eyes, which is easy to see on this one.
