Road-cruising, some nights there are many toads.  I swerve to avoid them, and after the umpteenth Couchs' Spadefoot, I no longer want to slow down and see what they are.  This urge must be resisted, because every once in a while, the toad on the road is something new, like this Green Toad, found just east of Rodeo where the road crossed over a wash.
