Coluber flagellum flagellum
Eastern Coachwhip
Elk
Co., Kansas
April 24, 2010
I've seen a number of Eastern Coachwhips over the years -
on roads and roadsides, some alive, some dead, but I hadn't gotten my hands
on a live one, until this visit to Kansas. This snake was found under
a large rock on the top of an open hill.
