Northwestern Garter Snake

Polk Co., Oregon. April 29, 2007

This ordinoides turned up in the middle of a morning full of Oregon Redspotted Garter Snakes. Unfortunately, this opaque specimen was the only of its kind found that day.  I did manage to turn up a neonate a few days later up in the Columbia River Gorge (pictured below)
