Coluber flagellum testaceus
Val Verde Co., Texas. Found crossing the Pandale Dirt Road late one afternoon, the color of this coachwhip was just incredible. It isn't unusual to see several coachwhips during the course of a day, but to catch one is another story - they are usually off the road and gone before you can stop your vehicle.
